Strange Behavior of a Robin

From 5:00 A.M. this morning (April 29) we started hearing thumping noises. It seemed that someone or something was banging against our house. On investigating we discovered that a robin perched on our garage would take off and bomb into the window. He(she?) kept up these antics for over 3 hours.
